Ankita began her professional career as an English educator in 2005. Holding a Master of Philosophy in English (Diasporic Studies), she boasts a decade-long experience teaching across three academic boards in India, Dubai, and Singapore. Her artistic journey commenced in 2014 when she obtained a Diploma in Western Art from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. Balancing dual careers, she found motivation to delve into the arts, translating her observations and inquiries into narrative oil paintings, charcoal sketches, and mixed media art pieces. She has exhibited both in Singapore and abroad and continues to actively take on commissions. To deepen her understanding of art's societal impact, Ankita pursued a Masters in Asian Art Histories from the Lasalle College of Arts, Singapore. Her academic focus centered on the representation of trauma in Indian contemporary art.
A self-motivated individual, Ankita loves her craft and passionately depicts life experiences through her art. She believes in soul-searching and selects art as her medium to convey emotions of faith, hope, realization, and optimism.
