Riduan is an established artist from Indonesia with a realist expressionism painting style with sharp lines and colors full of emotion yet at the same time intuitive. He mostly uses a palette knife to emphasize the sharp lines in his works. The stylistic changes in his works are quite significant, when he was a student at art university, he was more into abstract impressionism, then gradually began to switch to realist expressionism. All of his works revolve around landscape and cityscape themes because for him that is the closest thing to his daily life. He wants to bring simple but evocative themes in his works.
