“Art is a choice and fine art is a way of life. With art, it becomes a way of responding to life with ideas as embodiments in the work. With art I can live this life and a means in fighting for life and become an individual with an artistic identity.”
Bambang Pramudiyanto, is an established artist from Indonesia who brings modern pop art realism into his works, with modern industrial products as the main objects, such as fashion, electronics, automotive, advertising and other pop culture elements. These objects become narratives and bridge ideas. All of his works are driven by anxiety as part of the spirit of exploring meaning of life and social issues. Bambang takes inspiration from Andy Warhol, an American visual artist, for his artistic thoughts and attitudes as an expression of rebellion against established values.
