Elka Alva Chandra is an Indonesian artist who is an abstract expressionist painter. Elka paints spontaneously following his intuition without prior conceptualisation. Elka is mostly inspired by his daily life experiences and the mundane that surrounds him. After formal training in graphics art followed by study of fine art, Elka decided to experiment with various styles and media. What eventually satisfied and challenged his artistic ability is the abstract style. His creations are simple abstract art with bold colours, open to viewers’ interpretation.
