Ratih is an Indonesian artist who started painting professionally at a very young age. Alsaira’s paintings are mostly scenes from everyday life in Malang and Yogyakarta. However, what makes these mundane scenes special is her unique representation of the characters in her paintings. The deliberately distorted figures give a distinctive depth and creates a lasting impression on the viewer’s minds. The scene comes to life on the canvas.
