Reza Pratisca is a young Indonesian artist who has a style that combines surrealism and pop-art. Reza’s father, a painter himself, was Reza’s first teacher who inspired her to follow her calling and adopt the surreal style of painting. Reza has been consistent with her techno style using elements such as robots and machines as metaphorsin her works. Among the various themes she has explored, proliferation of technology, unfolding of modernization and over-indulgence in social mediahave been the most dominantly illustrated. Reza is the notable winner ofthe prestigiousBasoeki Abdullah Art Award in 2016. Reza also has been nominated as finalist of the ‘UOB painting competition of the year’ three years in a row from 2015 to 2017.
