Vimalanathan S A is a master artist from India. His works are marked by large canvases, bright colors, free-hand surrealistic abstracts woven with realistic elements. Vimalanathan started his career as a textile designer at UAE. But his love for Bangalore, the Indian garden city brought him back and he set up his home and studio in the midst of nature’s paradise that inspires him endlessly. Vimalanathan’s love for the city bears strong evidence in his works. He is driven by unique subjects each time and he allows the subject to rule the choice of the pallet and brush strokes. In his latest series, the artist enthralls the audience with large scale paintings in vibrant colours that evoke the urban sensibility.
