“My focus is to create visually pleasing artworks that inspire balance, rhythm and harmony”
Samba Prasad Biswas is an Indian abstract artist who is deeply inspired by the rational aspects of geometric abstraction. He manipulates simple geometric shapes and structures in vivid colours and tones to create a dynamic canvas. He started his art career by creating works in a semi-figurative style. But, exposure to the works of abstract masters like Anish Kapoor and S.H.Raza helped him realise the power & beauty of pure form, shape, colour and geometry and helped him develop his own pictorial language gradually. His abstracts are predominantly inspired by architectural structures, symphony of classical Indian music, patterns & colour traditions of multiple cultures and fragments of everyday life.
As a visual artist what satisfies him, is to create works that can exist as autonomous entities and have no specific message attached to it giving the viewers complete freedom to interpret, react and revel in his art.
