Soriful Mondal is a realism painter from Kolkata. Trained in traditional methods of painting like tempera, gouache and wash technique, his works reflect a curious blend of these techniques while his visual vocabulary takes inspiration from Indian miniature paintings.
His practice closely introspects the everyday life and struggles of working-class people through the visual vocabulary of satire and fantasy.
